What this page covers

These terms govern your use of the Mentionator marketing site at mentionator.com and the pilot application form on it. They are not the contract for the pilot itself — if you are accepted into the pilot, we will send you a separate pilot agreement to review and sign before any work begins.

No guarantees about AI rankings

Mentionator improves the product data, pages, structured data, and feeds that help AI shopping systems understand and match your products. We do not control independent AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini, or Perplexity, and no vendor — including us — can guarantee that your products will be recommended by them. Anything on this site that talks about “AI shelf share,” example results, or the work the pilot does is a description of the product, not a promise of an outcome.

Pilot applications

The pilot application is an expression of interest. We review every application against the Shopify-DTC fit profile we publish on the homepage and we may decline applications that fall outside it — or that fall inside categories we do not work with (supplements, CBD, weapons, anything making medical claims, anything not legal where you operate).

If we accept your application, the pilot itself runs under a separately signed agreement that covers scope, fees, data handling, and termination. Submitting the form does not create that agreement.

We will not ask for Shopify collaborator access at the application stage. If we do later, it will be in the signed-pilot phase, with the minimum scopes the work needs.

Honest information

Please apply with truthful information about your store, platform, SKU count, and category. We use those answers to decide whether the pilot is a fit. Misrepresenting them wastes everyone’s time and is grounds for declining or ending the engagement.

Acceptable use of this site

Use the site for the purpose it is built for — to learn about Mentionator and (if relevant) apply for the pilot. Do not attempt to disrupt the form, scrape it for spam, submit applications on behalf of someone who has not authorised you to, or probe for security weaknesses without permission. If you find something that looks like a security issue, please report it to security@mentionator.com.

Third-party links

The site links to third-party sources (OpenAI, Google, Shopify, Brevo, others). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content. Following them is at your own discretion.

Intellectual property

The Mentionator name, copy, design, mockups, and code on this site are ours. You may quote a sentence or two with attribution; you may not copy substantial portions, repackage the site, or use the brand to imply a partnership that does not exist.

Disclaimer and liability

The marketing site is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mentionator disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (for example, fraud or wilful misconduct).

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. Material changes will also be flagged on the application form before you submit it.
