What this page covers

Mentionator (“we”) is the AI Shopping Visibility Engine for Shopify brands. Today the only personal data we collect comes from the pilot application form on this site. This page explains what we collect, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect from the pilot form

When you submit the pilot application, we collect the fields you fill in plus a small amount of context to help us answer your application:

• First name and work email (required so we can reply to you).
• Store URL, ecommerce platform, approximate SKU count, product category, and (optionally) annual online revenue and main goal — used to qualify the application.
• Whether you are an agency applying on behalf of clients.
• Your consent to be contacted (recorded with a timestamp, approximate IP address, and user agent string in the email we receive).
• UTM parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) and the referring URL, captured from the page you arrived on. These travel inside the email body so we can tell which channel the application came from.

We do not run third-party analytics, ad pixels, or tracking scripts on this site. We do not build a behavioural profile of you. We do not sell or share your application with anyone outside the processor named below.

Where the data goes

Submissions are delivered as a single transactional email to a Mentionator-staff inbox via Brevo, our transactional-email processor. Brevo handles the delivery, bounce, and deliverability infrastructure for the email; the contents of the email reach our inbox and stay there. Brevo’s privacy policy explains how they handle the data they process on our behalf.

We do not have a CRM, customer database, or any other system that ingests the form. No copy of your application is written to a database we control.

How long we keep it

Applications stay in the inbox until they are manually deleted. We will delete on request (see below). If you become a pilot customer, the email will be filed alongside the rest of our correspondence with you for as long as the relationship is active.

Cookies

The site does not use analytics, advertising, or social cookies. The form itself sets a short-lived browser session value to protect against duplicate submission and basic cross-site request forgery. That is the only cookie this site issues, and it is essential to the form working — under ePrivacy and GDPR rules, essential cookies do not require a consent banner. That is why this site does not show one.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, EEA, or another jurisdiction with comparable data-protection law, you have the right to ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the application you submitted. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@mentionator.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children

Mentionator is a B2B product for ecommerce operators. The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We will update the date at the top of this page when the policy changes. Material changes will also be flagged on the application form before you submit it.
